Meet Taty
Guiribitey

 

Taty Guiribitey, affectionately known as "la mamilover" on her social media platforms, was born on April 22 in Havana, Cuba. Her journey from Havana to becoming a revered figure in the United States is a testament to her determination and commitment to making a positive impact.

 

Taty's academic journey took her to Baku, Azerbaijan, where she pursued a degree in Computer Science. With her freshly minted degree in computer engineering, she emigrated to the United States, driven by a deep desire for freedom for herself and her family. She is married to Doctor Pedro Guiribitey, and together, they embarked on a journey to build a meaningful legacy that extended beyond their own lives.

 

Since 2013, Taty and her daughter Camila Guiribitey initiated a remarkable mission to provide school supplies and food to the bateyes and rural areas of the Dominican Republic. This philanthropic endeavor has continued throughout the years, benefiting countless schools and churches in the Dominican Republic.

 

In 2021, Taty's birthday became a celebration of generosity as she collected over 1,000 toys for children in the Dominican Republic, spreading joy and smiles in the process. In August 2023, her commitment to community welfare led her to donate funds and distribute school supplies across four cities in Miami - Hialeah, Kendal, West Miami, and Doral.

 

Taty also dedicates a significant portion of her time to helping disabled individuals acquire essential resources like wheelchairs and supports organizations such as the Ausome Foundation, focusing on children with autism, and more recently, Angels for Humanities. In 2023, Taty was awarded the Distinguished Humanitarian Award by Angels of Humanity, recognizing her extensive efforts and contributions to various causes.

 

Furthermore, Taty has actively sponsored and supported the galas for Maestro Cares and Women of Tomorrow, aiding in the advancement of their philanthropic missions. Her generous donations have reached many other organizations, amplifying her impact on communities in need across the globe.

 

In 2024, Taty's tireless dedication was celebrated at the Fashion and Art Awards in Miami for her philanthropic and fashion contributions to the community. Additionally, Miami-Dade recognized her labor, with the mayor extending official congratulations on her birthday. The Miami consulate of the Dominican Republic also honored Taty for her longstanding humanitarian work.

 

Furthering her commitment to healthcare, Taty donated to the Golden Angels gala at Jackson Health in 2024, supporting the funding of Jackson Memorial Hospital. Additionally, she sponsored the St. Jude Gala, Angel and Stars, reinforcing her dedication to charitable endeavors.

 

Taty's involvement extends beyond healthcare and education; she also serves as a board member of The Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom at FIU. Her dedication to supporting various causes is evident through her sponsorship of numerous events, including the Breakthrough Miami Annual Luncheon, Red Cross Gala, Archdioceses Annual Luncheon, Vizcaya Hat Luncheon, and the Gala "Donando Sonrisas" hosted by Monseñor Felipe Bellos, which aids in providing dental health to children in the Dominican Republic.

 

Taty Guiribitey's unwavering passion for helping others and her profound commitment to community service continue to inspire and uplift those in need, establishing her as a true beacon of hope and inspiration. Her outstanding contributions to philanthropy have been recognized with honors such as Woman in Philanthropy and Personality of the Year by the Orion Cannes 2024 Star Awards, further solidifying her status as a true humanitarian and leader in her community.
